Free website for your nonprofit: questions people ask
The short version is on the offer page. This is the longer answer to the questions that come up most.
Who qualifies for the free website?
- Open to any nonprofit with a 501(c)(3) determination. We reach out to newly formed nonprofits first because that is how we find you, not because anyone else is excluded.
What does it cost?
- We build it for free. Hosting is free for 2 months, then $15 a month after that, and you can cancel anytime. An agency quotes $1,500 to $4,500 for the same build.
How long does it take?
- Telling us about your organization takes about four minutes. Your site exists the moment you submit it, though nothing is published to search engines until you say so.
Do we own the content, and can we change it later?
- Yes. Everything except your legal name, your EIN, and how to reach you can be changed later from your own back office, and canceling any time still leaves the site yours.
What happens with donations?
- Donation pages stay switched off until your EIN is checked against the public IRS file and your own Stripe account is connected.
What if none of the free designs are right for us?
- $499 design package: if the first three are not it, we keep designing with you, up to 10 more revisions. Most organizations pick one of the first three.
